1. Information We Collect
When you use AlgoHunt, we only collect the minimum information required to deliver our services:
- Authentication Data (Google & GitHub OAuth): When you sign in using Google or GitHub OAuth, we receive your public profile details, including your full name, email address, and profile picture avatar. We do not receive or store your passwords.
- Application Progress: When signed in, we record your interaction history such as interview questions marked as solved or completed, bookmarked companies, and custom filter preferences.
- Usage Log Data: Standard server logs such as device type, browser user-agent, and anonymized access timestamps to ensure site reliability and prevent abuse.
2. Google API Limited Use Disclosure
AlgoHunt’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- We only request basic profile scopes (
email,profile,openid) solely to authenticate your identity. - We do not use your Google user data for advertising or marketing.
- We do not sell, rent, or transfer your Google user data to any third parties.
- We do not use your data to train generalized AI or machine learning models.
3. How We Use Your Information
The information we collect is strictly used to:
- Create and manage your user account.
- Save and synchronize your solved interview questions across your devices.
- Personalize your profile display name and profile picture.
- Send optional job digest notifications if explicitly opted in by you.
4. Data Storage and Security
All user data is stored in enterprise-grade cloud database infrastructure managed by Supabase, protected by PostgreSQL Row Level Security (RLS) policies. This ensures that only you can access or modify your own completed questions and profile information. All communication is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS/SSL encryption (HTTPS).
5. Data Retention & User Rights
You retain full ownership of your data. You may edit your display name and profile photo at any time from your Profile Settings. If you wish to delete your account and all associated question progress permanently, you may request deletion by emailing us at [email protected]. Your data will be deleted within 7 business days.
